How to use sidebar Widgets to customize your site

Choose Widgets Under “Appearance”

Click the arrow beside "Appearance" on the right sidebar to expand the options.

Adding Widgets

1. You show all widgets, used widgets or unused widgets using this drop down box.

2. By default, no widgets will be enabled, to add widgets, just click where it says "Add" beside the widget. Note: some widgets can only be used once.

 

 

Managing Widgets

1. Some themes have multiple sidebars. The Crafty theme, for example, has three; Home left, Home Right, and one Inside sidebar. Each of these sidebars are widget capable. This drop down allows you to switch between multiple sidebars.

2. Once you click "Add" to a widget, as you did in the previous post, the widget will show up here. You can rearrange them by clicking and dragging, or change the widget’s options by clicking "Edit".

3. Once you’ve changed the widget’s options and are satisfied with your changes you can click "Done" to commit those changes.

4. Click "Save Changes" to save what you’ve done. You can now select another sidebar (if applicable), or go on to another page.
