After just a short amount of exposure, your site will start to accumulate comments.

1. You can view All comments, comments Pending approval (such as the first one with the yellow background shown here), Approved comments, or comments marked as spam.

You can also Search Comments (not pictured, but to the right).

2. Using the check boxes, you can delete, approve, mark as spam, or unapprove several comments at once using the Bulk Actions.

3. When you hover over a comment, you’ll see the options Approve, Spam, Delete, Edit, Quick Edit, and Reply. The next step goes into what they all do.

Approve: If you have comments set to require approval, you will receive emails when users comment on your posts, you must then login to your dashboard and approve comments. This is where you do that. Comments awaiting approval will have a yellow background.

Spam: If you choose "Spam" for a comment, it will be designated as spam, and further comments from the same address will be also added as Spam. If you accidentally marked a comment as spam, you can show the "Spam" comments and approve it to get it out of the Spam bin.

Delete: Once you click delete, the comment will go away forever.

Edit: Clicking "Edit" opens a new dialog where you can edit the name of the user who commented, change their email, send them an email, or change their message. Click "Update Comment".

Quick Edit: The quick edit dialog pops up where you are, without going to a new page. It’s the easiest way to change any information about the comment (shown above).
